www.willowcreekpictures.com In memory of John Henry, much loved member of the Edinburgh Cine and Video Society, 2008. Mind of Obsession has been my most ambitious short films project to date, filmed in Spring and Summer, 2008. It is a short youtube spoof fictional film running 30 minutes which I produced for my HNC Graded Unit which I got the idea for making after watching the original classic movie online, an Ealing Film, Kind Hearts and Coronets. A moment of inspiration led to months of hard work to produce the final college movie from Willow Creek Pictures. Looking back at this college film, it's full of mistakes, particularly continuity and problems with the spoof film trying to be a period which is no easy task. I look back though on the humrous movies spoof project as being a great learning experience for learning how to make a short film spoof online. I've not been involved with anything as complicated as this project since so it's at the forefront of my mind in terms of being a useful experience to apply to future projects. The spoofs filming used some impressive locations around Edinburgh which included the beautiful setting of the village of Duddingston in Scotland where the Church scenes were filmed at Duddingston Kirk. We were really lucky to film here for free after the kind gesture made by the Minister, James Jack who remains there today. I remember on one of the shooting days, we had a large picnic lunch prepared by James which everyone really appreciated ... Thank you all for the great comments! I made this costume from scratch based on the Mass Effect 2 character Garrus before he takes the rocket to his face. I will have more pictures posted on my website mywickedarmor.com in the near future. And yes, I plan to make more of these. Contact me through my website (not YouTube) if you are interested. This Garrus project was a bit more difficult than I thought it would be. The costume has at least 75 LED's on/in it! But the lighting is one of the things that attracted me to this costume. I especially enjoyed the eye gear. Photos and videos just do not capture how neat the eye piece looks. I think the whole costume requires nine 9V batteries if you want the lights to work for a few hours. Fortunately, the armor is very lightweight, including the massive chest piece which I designed to split into two pieces for shipping and transport. And I am aware that Garrus does not have a tail- I just forgot to attach the butt plate strap before the video. A few people have asked how long it took to make. That's hard to say since I worked on it in spurts. I am a quick sculptor, but there was a lot of time involved in moldmaking, paint, and assembly. The work was done over the span of a few months. Some people have asked about the comfort of the feet. I would imagine it's just like walking around in high heels, but it's not quite as steep as it looks. There is some illusion involved. I slip my feet with shoes on them into the spandex socks and ... Теги:GarrusVakarianMassEffectCosplayTurianCostumePropArmorMaskStarHaloXbox360PCWarsNormandyReaper
