Yeah the fires of 2001/02 were something, we had a fire just 5km from my house on Xmas day. Or was that the sumer of 2000/01 we had bad fires both years and both were scary as hell. I still remember the hellish colour the sky went both years, it lasted for weeks. Were you still living here for the ACT fires?
